I’m back with a new cabin analysis! I’m playing at home this time as we go over the cabins to avoid on Costa Pacifica, the Italian cruise company.
It is a ship that is a few years old and not brand new. I did travel on it once, though, and I have a very pleasant memory of it.
Cabins with partially restricted view
Costa Pacifica, as well as other similar ships, has some cabins that have a partially limited view. These cabins are the exterior ones that are located at the front of the ship.
These outside cabins have a window (which cannot be opened) that overlooks an outside deck. In most cases, it is still possible to look at the sea from the inside, but I personally would avoid them.
The cabins with this problem are:
- Cabins number 6201, 6202, 6203, 6204, 6205, 6206 on Deck 6.
- Cabins number 7201, 7202, 7203, 7204, 7205, 7206 on deck 7.
- Cabins number 9201, 9202, 9203 on deck 9
- Cabins number 1001, 1002, 1003, 1004 on deck 10.
You can see that there are quite a few of them, so keep attention while you’re booking. As I said, they are at the very front of the ship. I’ll leave you a picture of the bow of deck 7 so that you can clearly understand which cabins I’m talking about. They are indicated by a checkmark.
Noisy cabins
As I said in a previous article, modern cruise ships have a high level of soundproofing. Therefore, there are no particularly noisy cabins.
However, there may be some cabins that would be best avoided, especially if you are very sensitive to noise. As always, these cabins are those that are located under restaurants, buffets, under pools, theaters, music halls or bars.
Since the buffet and pools on Costa Pacifica are located on Deck 9, I would avoid cabins in the back part of Deck 8. I will leave below the photo with the two decks so you can check which cabins could potentially be noisy on Pacifica.
You can see that only the cabins on the back parts have this problem, since on the front of deck 9 there are other cabins.
No other particular things to report on the other decks.
Interior cabins that are very small
I don’t know if you have noticed, but on the deck plan, there are some cabins that look very small. I’m talking about the cabins number 1074, 1080, 1085, and 1091 on deck 10 (in gray).
As you can see in the picture below, they look way smaller than the other types of cabins, even if they’re cabins for disabled guests. If possible, I would definitely avoid them.
The legend says they are intended for single occupancy, but I don’t know, I wouldn’t risk it!
