As the name suggests, the fast pass is a pass that allows access to various attractions on MSC ships. In this article, I will explain how it works, which attractions are included and how much it costs!
How does it work?
The most important thing to know is that there are two different types of fun pass. One is called “The more you play, the less you pay” and is available on MSC Virtuosa, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Bellissima, MSC Meraviglia, MSC Seaside, and MSC Seaview.
The second one is called “All you can enjoy” and is available on MSC Preziosa, MSC Divina, MSC Splendida, MSC Fantasia, and MSC Magnifica.
Let’s see what’s the difference!
The more you play, the less you pay
On newer ships, the fast pass has a pre-established price, but then an additional sum is loaded onto the card as if it were a bonus.
To help you understand, you can purchase the fast pass for $100, and then you get a $180 credit on the cruise card to use on the attractions on board. An interesting thing is that the credit can be used by the whole family.
On the other hand, it is an “unlimited access” type of pass on older ships, so you and the other passengers in the same stateroom can use the attraction as many times as you want. As far as I know, this type of pass should be about $85, but I think that the price changes for every ship.
You can check the price in your personal area on the MSC website after you’ve booked your cruise.
Below is a price list of some of the attractions without the package. As you can see, the prices are quite high!
The attractions on every ship
Below is a table showing which attractions are on each ship. Please note that not all ships have the option to purchase the fun pass, so you will only find some ships in the fleet.

Is the fun pass worth it?
I would say it depends. You can see in the table above that small ships have only two types of attraction, so maybe I would not buy the pass on those ones. You would probably get bored after a couple of times.
Instead, I would consider it for larger ships offering different attractions. Obviously, also consider your needs; for example, if you have children, it might be a good idea to opt for the fun pass.
