Hello MSC Lovers, today we will talk about a frequently confusing topic: understanding dinner times aboard MSC ships.
I always see so many inaccuracies on social networks about this topic, wrong times, wrong information about the different ships, etc.
For this reason, I’ve decided to create a full list with the updated dinner times for every single ship.
Be careful: dining times change according to ships and itineraries!
One thing that many people don’t know, and that I want to make clear, is that dining times vary based on the ship and its itinerary.
The main reason for this is to meet the dining habits of passengers from different places.
For example, dinner times are usually later on cruises to places like Italy or Greece than on cruises in the US or Northern Europe, because passengers from those Southern European countries often eat dinner later.
Luckily, MSC offers different dining seatings, so you can choose what works best for you.
Let’s look at how these work.
The “Seatings” and “My Choice Dining” on MSC
Like many large cruise lines, MSC provides options for different dinner times.
Usually, there are two main dinner shifts: an early one and a late one. On some of the bigger ships, there might even be a third option.
You will be asked at the time of booking which one you prefer and thus at what time you want to eat dinner.
Just as we saw with “My Time Dining” in the article on Royal Caribbean’s dining times, MSC also offers a flexible option called “My Choice Dining“
It’s an option reserved for passengers who book an Aurea class cabin or a suite. In this case, passengers will not have a fixed slot but can dine at their preferred time during the restaurant’s opening hours.
